Description

Attractive evergreen, bulbous plants with strappy, grass like leaves that bear spikes of densely clustered bell like purple flowers in summer and autumn.

Ideal in mixed garden beds where they provide colour when few other bulbs are in flower. Excellent as an edging plant and in pots. 
Grow in a sunny to partly shaded position in well drained soil. Keep soil moist and provide extra water during very dry periods. Protect from snails and remove any unwanted scruffy leaves to keep plants tidy. Hardy and tolerant of draughty and coastal conditions. Intolerant of wet sites.
