Native to Aotearoa.

Medium sized tree, flowering profusely in Spring.

Flowers from a younger age and has larger blooms than most other Kowhai.

Suitable for moister sites.

Attractive to native birds

Prefers full sun to semi shade, hardy and semi deciduous.

Grows 10m x 3m approximately.
