Description

Raspberry Aspiring is a vigorous plant producing strong upright semi thornless canes. Fruit is large, dark red, conical and firm with a delicious flavour.

Espalier in a fan shape alongside Ivory and Ebony for a stunning display of colour or simply grow along a fence line or in a berry cage.

Plant in rich, well drained, slightly acidic soil in full sun. For an extra good start, add compost and mulch when planting to encourage a healthy root system.

Allow canes to grow the first season and in winter tie to fence or frame. In spring these canes will branch and flower then produce fruit in late summer. Remove these canes in winter along with any weak or damaged ones. Feed with citrus fertiliser in spring.

Self fertile, insect pollinated.

Growing in a 3 litre pot.
