Description

Tahitian Lime has an almost round pale, medium-sized greenish-yellow fruit with yellow/green juicy pulp. It has a distinct lime aroma and flavour. Less bitter and has a more subtle citrus flavour. Tahitian limes are seedless. A vigorously hardy tree with drooping branches, nearly thorn free. Use fruit in garnishes, drinks and juicing and dressings. Tahitian Lime can be planted in any garden or suitable for a large container so that you can appreciate the fragrant flowers and fruit.

Prune to maintain shape and remove dead or diseased branches. (Remove any sucker growth). Citrus is heavy feeders, requiring regular feeding with a Citrus fertiliser and/or manure (3-4 times annually). Apply a good layer of mulch in spring and autumn to keep weeds at bay and help with moisture retention. Spray alternatively and regularly with an organic copper spray and an organic oil spray. This will prevent insects and fungal diseases.
