Description

Raspberry Ivory is a vigorous plant producing strong upright canes with spines. Fruit is medium, golden yellow, conical and firm with a delicious, sweet flavour.  Don’t be put off by the prickly nature, the fruit is worth it.

Can be espaliered alongside Ebony and Aspiring or simply plant on a fence or in a berry house.

Plant in rich, slightly acidic, well drained soil in full sun and incorporate compost and mulch to get a really good start.

Allow canes to grow the first season and in winter tie to fence or frame. In spring these canes will branch and flower, then fruit in late summer. Remove these canes in winter along with any weak or damaged ones. Feed with citrus fertiliser in spring.

A long harvest season from December to April when fruit is in full colour and easy to pick. Self fertile and insect pollinated.
