Description

Karo. Native to NZ. A small, densely foliaged tree.

Leathery dark green leaves with felted grey undersides.

Dark red flower, nectar late Spring, fruit/seeds from February to June. Prefers sun and well drained soil, intolerant of wet feet.

Tolerates wind, draught and coastal conditions, making Karo an ideal choice for hedging  in coastal, windy situations. Evergreen.
