I love this small easy care tree. Michelia Bubbles is simply outstanding. An evergreen tree which is easy to standardise if you wish. Widely grown for both its foliage and flowers. It grows as a small, shapely tree with glossy, green leaves – attractive in their own right, quite apart from the velvet buds borne through winter and spring which open to reveal exquisite, cream-coloured flowers with a subtle pink blush and light fragrance. It will typically grow to 4 m tall x 3 m wide.
Michelia Bubbles is often grown as a specimen, or can be included in a mixed planting, clipped into a hedge, or used as a backdrop for other plantings.
