His description of the ‘Sunflower’ series; Tall growing, over 5 ft (152cm). Flowers in a range of colours, twice as large as regular single flowered dahlias (white-flowered Mystic in photo for comparison), both dark and green leaved plants. Even the odd jumbo sized collerette, maybe? Unlike sunflowers, these produce tubers, and you can name and keep your favourite selection for many years
